
Local 483 commemorates the:
NATIONAL DAY OF MOURNING
APRIL 28TH
, IS THE NATIONAL DAY OF MOURNING
Every year April 28th is recognized as the National Day of Mourning
for workers killed on the job or workers killed as a result of workplace
disease. It is also offers an opportunity to re-dedicate ourselves to working
safely and achieving a safe and healthy workplace.
Membership is asked
to remember fallen workers with a moment of silence at 11:00am.
Each year
the Local 483 asks the Company to acknowledge this day by lowering
the flag.
Along with workers across Canada,
These Local 483 Members are to be remembered on this date.
